Social Security
So anyways I'm glad I'm not working because it means I'm not putting any money into Social Security. It's not going to be there for me so I feel no obligation to contribute. The Social Contract is broken. To last out the decade it needs serious work and that just wont happen. The depression era can stackers and the baby boomers will use their AARP might to prevent any changes in benefits. Both democrats and Republicans fear it and play hot potato with Social Security because they fear the AARP whip.
Then there is the incredible amount of waste that goes on with this administration. They waste months asking people the same questions over and over. They employee an incredibly bloated bureaucracy that will fight tooth and nail to maintain it's existence. Then, because we cant trust physicians apparently, Social Security employs (rather contracts) doctors to do exam. whose reports they barely look at the first rejection through. Heck you know there is something seriously wrong with a system that is set up to give a person three opportunities to appeal and be rejected.
Gimmie a couple of them data geniuses from Google and a baseball bat and I'll clear up a ton of wasted cash. And if a bunch of people are out on the street because of it? That bothers me not at all. Government does not exist merely to employ people. These are highly incapable bureaucrats they should have no problems finding gainful employment in the tech supports sector or perhaps in various corporate appropriations departments. "You need to fill out this form in triplicate and turn it in five days ago so that we can review your request for this other form and then just tell you no. Have a nice day."
On a positive note Walmart may not be building in Chicago. They might have to pay people 10 dollars an hour and that just wouldn't be competitive. Never mind that 10 dollars an hour is no where near a living wage especially in Chicago where costs are so inflated. We've got plenty of stores in Chicago. Walmart can take a flying leap.

i'm glad wal mart may not succeed in branching outto chicago. Wal mart has gotten out of hand.
