Internet Dating and the Unemployed Male

Sounds like something some stroke at Ivy League University [tm] would come up with as a thesis for a grant application. There could be a couple different lines of research bias. Reactionary types might see any sort of relationship that forms outside of a bar as evil and something to be feared studied closely then bashed at great length with long words nobody really understands or ever uses properly. Then there is the lonely guy / gal secretly plotting to hook up with people on the governments dime. The Social worker: Lonely people need our help and tax dollars should be made available for internet dating. The Lawyer : Internet dating ruins people and its time to sue, sue, sue!

So anyway the reason I'm on this topic is that I browse the dating sites with regularity. Being 29 and living with one's folks makes one rework one's expectations for a viable relationship. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that a pulse and a house a bit distant from here are the absolute basics. Well there is also the little thing. She cant be short and fat. I don't mean I don't like short and I'm not one to complain about a few extra pounds. It's that real roly - poly thing I just can not do. Would if could. Tried. The little man just wont listen to reason. He's like "I'm not going there big guy just suck it up and go back to the smut already."

Can't write the bio to save my life either. I start thinking SWM living with his folks NO JOB, likes smut, no degree, kinda lazy wants women who knows what Xbox time is and doesn't mind supporting her man.

I always start with something like: A man who doesn't like sports! Like a woman really cares if a man like sports or not. She will change his TV viewing habits to taste. Then I talk about how I like to read and usually read every day. Dork! Then of course the desperate sounding appeal for discourse: Write me.

Finally I have no money to subscribe to these services. No talking to these potentially available women for me unless of course they see me online and send me a message. I can only think at them through the internet. So far the thought beams just aren't working, or if they are they are being misdirected to the short fat women.

the "trash" icon fooled us both because it looks like a laundry detergent cap. i clicked it when i posted the first time, thinking it would ....well, i didn't think it would delete my post.....what on earth i thought a laundry detergent cap would do or why it was an icon on a blog beats me.
no worries.
i said something about using udate to this extent.
1. NEVER pay for a membership. encode your email into your pic/profile area because they run your profile regardless of whether you pay. if some guy couldn't figure out that "sullendreamer at really warm mail" meant that i had an account at hotmail, he was too dumb to talk to anyway--Instant moron filter.
2. Even though i never paid, i could use certain tools. The most useful of the tools allowed one to view who viewed their profile and picture and when. Some guy looked at my pic and profile several times a day for about 2 weeks. had he had the nerve (or intelligence, thank you moron filter) to email me, i would have known he was a creep---Viola! instant creep filter.

what i hated most about the site was that people posted their interests as "long walks, listening to music---shit that says nothing other than they have legs or at least prosthetic ones and that they can hear. are the people on those sites really that generic? can they not say "i like to fly kites" or "i like to slide down hallways in my socks while barking like a seal"? ugh.
